Synopsis

Through the lens of Palestinian-American filmmaker Nida Sinnokrot, Palestine Blues follows the repercussions of Israel's security wall and settlement expansion throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Focusing on the village of Jayyous and its non-violent campaign against the wall, Sinnokrot documents the heroic victories and tragic defeats of this farming community's fight for survival. Both a road-trip film across a terrain that is being erased as it is being traversed and a unique portrait of Palestinian resistance, Palestine Blues offers a rare document of both a land and a people faced with extinction.
