Iron Sheik is a Bay-Area Cali-based Palestinian Hip-Hop artist and activist, offering an alternative perspective on an often one-sided issue and destroying the mythologies and stereotypes surrounding the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. His first album, 'Camel Clutch 2003' dropped in March 2003 and is available on his website, www.ironsheik.biz. He has been featured in publications such as Muslim WakeUp!, Al-Jadid, Washington Report, Wayne State University's South End, and the Daily Californian.

'Disappeared' from the Sheik's next album,

"Ali was a good soul
40 years old
amazingly bold
he sold appliances
at the local Sears store,
came from Lubnaan in 1984
civil war, for sure...
destroyed all that he owned
he came with just a two tone
suit he had outgrown
He met an American girl
in the new world
a family, Ali's new pearl
in 2002, he disappeared out of sight
without a clue
the government detained him
and his family didn't know what to do
He disappeared in the middle of the night"
